FAQ

How much do you charge?

Each project is priced according to industry standard usage rights (license-for-use) with the exception of restorations. Restorations are priced on the estimated time needed to restore the image and any requested prints.

Usage consists of:
• The time the image is going to be used. e.g. one time use vs several years.
• How far the scope of usage is. e.g., local vs nationally vs internationally.
• The amount of time it takes to produce the image(s).

Pricing is for locations on the Seacoast of NH, ME and MA. Areas outside the Seacoast are subject to a travel fee, if within a reasonable distance.

How do I prepare for a photoshoot?

Depending on the type of photoshoot we are doing, I will have a list of suggestions to help make the photoshoot as simple and stress free as possible.

How does copyright work?

All photographs taken are the property of Carolyn Abell Hodges (Coastal Light LLC) and may not be copied or reproduced in any form without expressed written permission and payment of any applicable fees. It is against the law to copy, scan, download to print, email, or reproduce these images in any way without written permission (including for use on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. without permission). Please feel free to ask me any questions about copyright and refer to http://www.copyright.gov for full details on how copyright law works in the U.S.A.

When can I expect to see the images?

Real estate turn around is the next day.
Commercial, products and headshots are typically 3-5 business days. Larger projects may require more time and you will be given a time frame when the project is scheduled.
Restorations are 5 days on average. If large or specialty prints are requested, the printer's and shipping times will be added.
